The Bondowoso Railway Museum, located at Bondowoso (Bo) Station, is the first railway museum in East Java and the fourth in Indonesia. As part of Bondowoso Station which was built in 1893 by Staatssporwegen (SS), this museum stores the history of the Bondowoso railway and is an important witness to the Death Carriage Tragedy that occurred at this place, where 46 Indonesian fighters died in resistance to Dutch Military Aggression.

Singosari Temple, the last legacy of the 14th century Singosari Kingdom, was founded as a tribute to King Kertanegara. Even though it was not actually completed, this temple is a marker of the glory of the kingdom. Discovered by Nicholaus Engelhard, a Dutchman, in 1803, this temple has several nicknames and the largest guardian statue in the world, Dwarapala. The location is in Candirenggo Village, Malang Regency, East Java, with free access for visitors every day from 07.00 to 16.00.

Brahu Temple, in Mojokerto, East Java, is a historical site from the 15th century AD which is thought to be the place where the bodies of the Brawijaya kings were burned. Panataran Temple, the largest Hindu (Siwaitis) site in East Java, is located in Penataran Village, Nglegok, about 12 km north of Blitar. Built by the Kediri Kingdom and used until the Majapahit period, the reliefs depict analogous stories of the lives of figures such as Ramayana and Krisnayana, similar to the stories of Ken Arok and Ken Dedes. Formerly a place of worship for Hindu Dekte Shiva, Kedaton Temple has a mysterious relief about the story of Arjunawiwaha on the west side which tells the story of Arjuna in search of a powerful weapon.

The Bangkalan Cakraningrat Museum, founded on March 13 2008 by the Governor of East Java, Imam Utomo, is part of the Bangkalan Regency Youth, Sports, Culture and Tourism Office. Originally founded in the 1950s to preserve Bangkalan's historical objects, the museum was moved to a new building in 2008. The collection includes Dutch cannons, traditional weapons, lontar manuscripts, gamelan and various other ancient artifacts.

The Brawijaya Museum in Malang, East Java, is the right destination to commemorate the services of heroes, especially in commemoration of Heroes' Day. Founded in 1962 by Brigadier General TNI (Ret.)
